I was surprised, while watching this video today that it closely mirrors one of the strategies in my upcoming book; “The Wise Guide to Wealth.” It is sometimes surprising to see this since so many of these “financial” channels on Youtube are just AI. I believe, to some extent, this video was created by AI as well, but the strategy suggested is rock-solid. AI videos don’t seem to be able to get some terms or labels right like 401k plans. They always mispronounce them. But, you will find the same approach described in this video in one chapter in my soon-to-be-published financial literacy and wealth-creation book.
The video describes a time-tested, and rather boring, approach to growing wealth. Surprisingly, most millionaires in the U.S. got that way because of tax-advantaged or employer-sponsored savings/retirement plans. This video delves into that approach somewhat, but really discusses the wisdom of just investing consistently in some low-cost index ETFs. The video does a good job of breaking this method down and explaining why it will result in a bigger nest egg in the future than those using managed funds and trying to time the market. (and giving into emotions). Well worth watching and then in the future; buy the book.
